Maldives, officially the Republic of the Maldives is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. The chain stands in the Laccadive Sea about 430 miles south-west of  Sri Lanka and 250 miles south-west of India. The diving is some of the finest in the world with colorful coral reefs and a wide variety of marine life such as whale sharks, mantas, sharks, numerous tropicals and some great macro creatures.The clarity of the water here is legendary.
