Sept. Trip Update
Sept. Trip Update
Another in a line of great trips this season, September’s may have been the best so far. Although the visibility was not quite as good as previous trips the seas were calm, there was no current and the marine life was plentiful. We started the trip Friday at Vortex Spring and I’m happy to announce that everything is back to normal. The spring basin was absolutely crystal clear. Saturday was the Strength and Span 1 with visibility 30 and 40ft respectively. Span 1 was the site of the engagement of two of our students as Charles proposed to Amanda underwater. Congratulations to both of them. Sunday was the Bart and Span 14 with 50ft of vis on each of them. Divers on this trip were treated to numerous Goliath Groupers, a turtle two octopus and numerous tropicals and game fish.
We have six new Open Water divers Sarah and Bryce Herrington, Amanda Ritter, Tommy Courtney and Katie and Jonathon Carson. Two divers got their advanced certification Chuck and Jean Cefalu. Congratulations to everyone.
